Me and my
sister (aka my host sister) drove out to my mother's hometown. Quite peaceful really, the place is like a ghost town. You hear nothing but the bugs and the loose dogs. We ate a huge brunch there, with: my grandparents, great uncle & aunt, mom and a family friend. Everything was awesome, except I couldn't understand a word my grandmother was saying (with her Alzheimer's). Also Grandpa lost his hearing aid (or he just pretended too) and so we had to speak very
LOUDLY . It was sad, but at the same time like a comedy show.
After brunch me and my sister visited the lake, which is 45 minutes away from the town. We sipped on pop and watch seagulls walk by us on the beach. Sister then went and put her feet in the dirty lake, she was very reluctant at first. Hahaha but I'm very persistent girl, and I wanted to take some snapshots of her and the beach/lake.
We then headed over to the town after my mother's hometown. There we visited the museum, in which we looked around. We were the only ones there, so it was sort of creepy. We left after a little while and headed back to my mom's hometown. There we ate supper and then packed up and left back to the city.
Once we returned, me and my sister watched
Sydney White with Amanda Bynes in it. Quite a funny movie, but I enjoyed it more in the theater.
August 26th, 2010I GOT A JOB as a waitress. I will call my workplace the cottage because the place looks like one, even though it isn't. It is a small Indian restaurant. I'm excited to start work tomorrow, but also scared. It will be hard because of all the lifting, wish my good luck. The cottage is basically a buffet sort of place. Or it is at lunch time. The hour are a bit different from other restaurants. The cottage is open only at lunch time (11:30 to 2:30) and dinner time (5pm to 9pm). On Weekends it is only open at night times. It's quite interesting, and it will be hard work but I'm not going to give up.
I got school supplies today with sister. So much fun!!! I can't wait to sort through them. I got binders, pens, pencils, pencil cases, agendas, erasers, white out, sharpeners, sharpies, highlights and more. So much stuff, but so cute.
I also watched Sorority Row with my father. It was quite a predictable plot for a horror/slasher film.
Now I am off to bed, got to get up early tomorrow. Must buy larger hair clips, bobby pins and ponytails. BTW did I mention that I can't do ponytails so I think I will just cross that off the list.
I need them for my job---hair must be tied.
